hypnotherapy

Sylvia conducts individual and group hypnotherapy for a wide range of difficulties that people experience, e.g. Phobias about spiders, flying or public speaking, Pain Management, Poor Self Esteem, Low Self Confidence, etc.

Hypnosis has been used for centuries. The Encyclopaedia Britannica states that its therapeutic value has long been accepted by medical, psychiatric, dental and psychological associations throughout the world.

Hynotherapy is a structured procedure that engages the power of the mind to bring about valuable therapeutic change, providing every part of you is really wanting that change.

Hypnosis is not magic, nor can it make you do anything against your will or contrary to your usual values. However, it can, and usually does, support the changes you really want to make.

It’s not the therapist who puts you into a trance, rather s/he elicits that state from within you, so you are always aware of what is happening, and the trance state can only be elicited with your full and total permission.

In the hypnotic state, your mind can reorganise itself to make better use of your capabilities. It is a very powerful method of help.
During Hypnotherapy you will be totally involved in everything that happens. It’s a shared process that can help you achieve what you want. You decide what that is and how much you want to change. If you trust in your “unconscious” mind, it will guide you toward what is best for you.
