Coping with Grief, Loss or Bereavement

by | 2020

Grieving is a highly personal experience. There is no right or wrong way, but it is always painful and can last a lifetime. How do you get on with daily life when you are suffering from the loss of someone you love dearly?
Of course, loss is not only about the death of someone. A broken relationship can hurt just as much. There are numbers of other situations that can undermine your ability to live normally – losing your job, a miscarriage, bankruptcy, retirement, selling your home, among them. The pain will not go away if you ignore it, nor is it right to put on a brave front. In 1969 the psychiatrist Elisabeth Kubler-Ross introduced the “five stages of grief.”
The aim of this Group is to be a safe and supportive Learning and Healing Group, to enable you to manage your daily life more productively, while going through the healing process of grief. It runs for 2/2 hours once a week for 4 weeks.
